Just as its name implies, the Honey Drum People Wall Art is made from honey drums. It tells the sweet story of the people who collect honey in Northern Thailand and represents an interpretation of the clothing they wear. The drums they use to harvest honey can only be used a handful of times before they oxidize. In repurposing the metal, they are able to bring in an additional source of income that diversifies them beyond relying on the bees to produce the honey. This recycled art is not only soulful on any wall, it has a beautiful story behind it, which makes it perfect for the Phillips Collection ethos.
