Sustainability

Sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Phillips Collection. For over 40 years, we’ve proven that luxury and responsibility go hand in hand. From eco-friendly sourcing and production to community engagement, we integrate sustainability into every aspect of our business-it’s not just a strategy, it’s who we are.

Mission at home

Mission at home

We take action locally with initiatives that reduce waste and energy consumption. We’ve replaced 2,000+ fluorescent bulbs with LEDs, safely disposing of old bulbs at a “Waste Not Watt Not” event. We adopted Finch Avenue in High Point, NC, for ongoing clean-ups and optimize warehouse operations to minimize waste. Our dehumidifying rooms prevent product damage, and we use water-based stains, low-VOC finishes, and on-demand bubble wrap to cut our environmental footprint.

Through strategic investments and partnerships, we empower global communities to improve sustainability. We source fallen trees and roots from infrastructure projects in Thailand and Indonesia, turning overlooked materials into functional art. By working closely with artisans, we ensure every piece embodies beauty, craftsmanship, and environmental responsibility.

Sustainable
Furnishings Council

"At Phillips Collection we go very remote to find our treasures. And our resources have taught us respect. Not only do we have to harvest more responsibly, but we also need to invest in wasting nothing. Thank you SFC for years of enlightened stewardship. Of course, we’d love to be perfect, but I am very happy to just keep getting better and to double down on spreading the word."

"To quote my father, Larry Phillips, "The big decisions in life are obvious.” And this is one of them. The signs are everywhere. We need to pay attention to our world! The Sustainable Furnishings Council is a "perfect idea." Let’s raise awareness, share best practices, and set standards."
