The Asken Small Wall Art is made of irregular pieces of wood that have been artistically placed by hand into the frame. Providing the sculptural piece with added interest are the cut-outs, or negative spaces, in a number of the wood blocks. This piece of rectangular wall art was created with painstaking precision that only the most talented craftspeople can achieve. Also bringing the piece a feel of authenticity is the fact that the wood is reclaimed so the natural characteristics of the material’s life before becoming art adds tremendous patina. We also offer the Asken in a larger version and as a wall tile. Each of these pieces of wall art reflects the ethos that Phillips Collection personifies: modern organic.
