Collaborating with Mother Nature is in our DNA at Phillips Collection, which is why we call our ethos modern organic. Among our pieces that bring this juxtaposition front-and-center is our Small Molten Poured Brass Wall Tile. Where nature left an opening as a piece of reclaimed Sheesham wood deteriorated over time, we filled it with molten brass that turns luminous as it contrasts the warm tones in the wood. The charred edge where the metal meets the wood brings it an even richer character. This wood wall tile is the perfect example of how we work diligently to use every piece of natural material we source, many of them declared castaways by less thoughtful product designers. We offer this design in a slightly larger tile and with a poured aluminum center.
This piece is crafted with natural solid wood. Color and character of wood grain may vary and natural cracking will result in the brass fill pattern to differ from piece to piece.
